Khushi from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? says, "On Independence Day, I always think of my school days and miss it as early morning we used to hoist our national flag, sing the national anthem and perform various patriotic dramas. On this day, I will celebrate India's 65th Independence Day by listening to patriotic songs on the radio. I am truly grateful to all our freedom fighters as they are the ones who fought for our independence.
Maanvi from Ek Haazaron Mein Meri Behna Hain says, “We have all grown up listening to the song, Sab se accha Hindustan hamara, which is one of my favourite patriotic songs. Every year I visit my school and attend the flag hosting event, followed by watching a series of patriotic movies. I will follow the same schedule this year as well. Thanks to Daddaji, even Jeevikadi is here to accompany me this time. This Independence Day, I will also make sure to pray for all our soldiers, police officers and others who risk their lives to protect our country and it's people.”
An excited Sandhya says, "This Independence Day I am missing my country, India, a lot. We are in Singapore for Sooraj's competition. He has gained public votes and has become one of the top three contestants and I am very happy about this. The people here appreciate and respect our Indian culture a lot and so we will surely celebrate our independence with them. I hope that Sooraj ji wins the competition and makes our country proud.
